The National Equine Show

Earlier this month, we attended the National Equine Show at the NEC in Birmingham, and it didn’t disappoint. Packed with activities and opportunities, the event offered a mix of practical experiences and industry insights.

The shopping village showcased a wide range of equestrian products and accessories, perfect for enthusiasts and professionals alike. Beyond shopping, the event featured key highlights like the Inspiration Stage, where speakers shared valuable equestrian knowledge, and a VIP meet and greet with well-known figures in the industry. A particular standout for us was meeting eventing legends Mary and Emily King, a real treat for any equestrian fan.

We got hands-on too. Activities included trying out the “have a go sidesaddle”, removing a horseshoe, and even crafting a leather bracelet. These were hosted by experts from groups like the British Farriery Association, the Society of Master Saddlers, and the Knights of Middle England.

The 360 Skills Stage added another layer of value, providing demonstrations and workshops that allowed attendees to see and learn more about equestrian skills.

The dates for the 2026 National Equine Show will be the 28th February to 1st March – back at the NEC in Birmingham.

Whether you’re an experienced rider or just curious about the equestrian world, it’s an event worth experiencing. We’ll certainly be returning!
